Passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated Finnish composer
About me
I am a Finnish composer, born in September 13th, 2000.
My musical journey started around 2005, when I first heard rock music. I still love hard rock and heavy metal.
In 2011 I was introduced to the world of classical music, with pieces like Air by Johann Sebastian Bach, Largo by Georg Friederich Händel, Canon in D-major by Johann Pachelbel and Le Quattro Stagioni by Antonio Vivaldi. It was love at first sight. Then I heard works of Mozart, Chopin and Beethoven, and there was no coming back.

My compositional journey began in 2012, but it was until the spring of 2015 when I started to take lessons from Minna Leinonen in Central Helsinki Music College. With her I composed my first performed orchestral piece Creation of the Universe op.5 which was awarded with the honorary award in the 3rd Uuno Klami youth composition contest. From 2017 to 2021 I studied composition with Pasi Lyytikäinen as my teacher in Central Helsinki Music College. In the spring of 2021 I graduated from Helsinki Conservatory of music, where I studied composition with Markku Klami as my teacher, and since 2021, I have studied in Tampere University of Applied sciences, with Paavo Korpijaakko as my teacher. I am planning on graduating in the spring of 2025 as a music pedagogue.

My first pieces were composed in a style of 1700's classical era, but in 2018-2019 my style changed more towards romantic. Before that, my main musical inspirations were Mozart and Beethoven, but in 2019 I started to have influences from romantic composers such as Frederic Chopin, Jean Sibelius and Gustav Mahler. My first piece with the new style was tone poem Lorelei op.9 which was premiered November 12th 2019 by Helsingin Kaupunginorkesteri (Helsinki City Orchestra).
